The Incentives Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and prototyping scalable, adaptable, and high-impact incentive models across our venture portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of economics, tokenomics, and organizational design, blending theory, systems thinking, and hands-on experimentation. You will collaborate with studio leadership, venture founders, research scientists, and ecosystem partners to build frameworks that align behaviors with long-term strategic outcomes. As part of the Incentives Engineering Unit (IEU), you will contribute to the development of industry-leading incentive systems that combine equity, tokens, and hybrid models, advancing incentive engineering as a discipline.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • Essential:
  • Demonstrated experience designing incentive systems, compensation models, equity frameworks, or tokenomics—ideally in startups, Web3, or venture environments.
  • Strong grounding in economics, behavioral science, or organizational design with proven ability to translate theory into practical systems.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools, AI-enabled analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Preferred:
  • Deep familiarity with Web3 primitives (tokens, DAOs, staking, vesting, governance).
  • Experience working cross-functionally with venture teams, investors, and research organizations.
  • Ability to balance rigor with creativity, designing simple yet effective frameworks.
  • Curiosity about advancing incentive engineering as a discipline and shaping emerging industry standards.
